What’s an Email
list?
An Email list manages online email communication for a group of people. It allows you to signup to get information about the club, and also lets you ask questions from the other members.
Does it protect my privacy?
YES!
Membership is anonymous. No one will see your email address.
The only address used is pcacccr@topica.com.
Will I get advertising I don't want by signing up?
NO!
There may be
some advertising text at the top or bottom of the messages but you will not be
added to any mailing lists for advertisements, unless you specifically request it. Here is Topica's statement
on advertising:
"Topica Discussion Lists are supported by ad sponsorship, enabling us
to provide this service at no charge to list owners and subscribers.
That means you'll find text advertisements at the top and bottom of
your messages."
When you sign up, you
have the option to receive information on various subjects. If you don't
want additional email (aka SPAM)
JUST SAY NO!
You
can signup to get club info without signing up to get advertising.
Why is this better
than the club keeping a list of email addresses?
With an Email list, you can signup or stop the emails whenever you want. It is also two way communications so you can ask questions from all other members! An Email list also eliminates the need for an individual or individuals in the club to keep and constantly maintain a list of club emails.
Does adding or updating my email address on Topica update my PCA CCCR records?
NO. If you are a CCCR member and change your email address, you still need to update your PCA records. Provide your Name, PCA Membership #, and new email address to pcacccr@yahoo.com to update your official PCA membership info.

and click on ‘unsubscribe’ or
send an email to pcacccr-unsubscribe@topica.com

Looking for that hard to find part?
If you are signed up, all you have
to do is send your email to pcacccr@topica.com and
all signed up members will receive your question.
That’s all there is to it!
How will the club
use the new Email list?
Announcements for upcoming events, notifications when the CCCR website has new content, notifications of event changes such as time or place, etc. An Email list allows the club to provide you up to the minute current info. If you sign up!
