For 2022, Driver Education (DE) events are being held at Willows Springs Raceway (Big Willow) off Highway 14 in Rosamond, California, Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca on Highway 68 in Monterey County, and at Buttonwillow Raceway Park just off I-5 between Lost Hills and Buttonwillow. These are non-competitive, non-timed driving sessions to practice high speed handling. All drivers are placed in appropriate skill-level-groups. Beginning drivers are paired with instructors. Drivers typically run three to five 20-minute sessions. Willow Springs is touted as being the fastest track in the west. Laguna Seca is one of the iconic famous tracks in the United States. Buttonwillow is one of the safest high speed tracks in California. The latter two tracks are about a two hours’ drive from San Luis Obispo, whereas Willow Springs is a 3-4 drive. There are accommodations for RVs and/or camping at all three tracks.
