Welcome to the Activities part of the CCCR. We offer a variety of activities that appeal to many of our members. They include Drive ‘N Dines, Cars and Coffee, Tech Sessions, and a few special events! Once a month we usually schedule a drive through some of the famous backroads to a restaurant that we have frequented over the years. Here are a few examples of ones that we have done in the past…

Longbranch Saloon

One of the favorites. We usually visit here at least twice or three times a year. We plan these on weather conditions…twice during the cooler months and a dinner in the summer. They serve a very nice BBQ meal in an open outside setting… a favorite of many!

San Simeon Beach Bar & Grill – SSBB&G

A coastal route that ends up on their outdoor patio. We usually have three or four options for our meals. The view is spectacular as well as the food. They even offer ice cream for dessert…

Rustic Fire

A favorite in Paso Robles for many years! Pizza and salad. This restaurant is not your typical pizza place, all the ingredients are fresh and prepared daily. They usually provide us with more food than we can eat.

Brooks Burgers

This is the to-go place for a fabulous mouth-watering hamburger. Many combinations of fresh ingredients to select from, different condiments, and cheeses. There is always more than ample parking. The Brooks family has a long history of being in the restaurant and cattle business! They also serve chicken and different salads.

Old Juan’s Cantina

A drive down to the south county puts us at Old Juan’s Cantina. A family-owned restaurant in the beach town of Oceano, specializing in traditional flavors and California cuisine. We are usually seated outside on the patio, munching on chips and salsa, while waiting for our tasty Mexican favorites.

Harbor Hut

A local Morro Bay favorite…that has been that way for many years. The variety ranges from seafood to burgers and something in between. The view is excellent and the ocean breeze is never-ending.

Now that Covid is behind us (hopefully) some of the restaurants are able to accommodate larger groups like us… we will be visiting some of these again and some for the first time! Here is a sample of these…Parkfield Cafe, Lunada Garden Cafe, and a new place on the Big Sur Coast called Solstice, opening soon! we will also be doing a few picnic lunches (catered by Aloha Catering) in a variety of places.

Some of the special events include:

NMBBQ

Our New Member BBQ. This year we returned to Edna Valley and the ranch of one of our members! This is always a favorite among the membership…it was hosted by PORSCHE SLO.

Cypress Ridge Golf Course

We usually do a Gimmick Rally down to Nipomo for this event. Everyone loves this drive “n” dine and who wouldn’t? You literally have to work for your food. We get to park on part of the Golf Course and enjoy our hamburgers on their patio overlooking the course

The Annual trip to Healdsburg

This trip is four days of eating, driving, and enjoying excellent wines. We stay at Hotel Trio and take the hotel shuttle into town at night…for dinner. The area provides many excellent backroads for our drives and tons of places for lunch and dinner. We have a variety of things to do during the day if you would rather relax than go on the drive.

Christmas (Holiday) Party

Held annually at the San Luis Obispo Country Club, this event always attracts a crowd. With a delicious three-course meal and an open bar combined with live music, this event sells out fast. Each year, new board members are introduced, member achievements are recognized, and a slideshow or plaque presentation tops things off.

A highlight is the raffle with gifts from Porsche dealerships, local vendors, and club members, fostering camaraderie. Funds raised from driving events subsidize the party, which draws over 100 members in recent years.

Tech Sessions

We are also going to be doing some tech sessions for members who crave more PORSCHE STUFF!
